"The Ocean" is the final track on Anoikodomeo. The honest to God truth is that the inspiration and idea for the new age style ambience in the background came from watching Avatar: The Way of Water, and listening to the music in the trailers and the film. I thought to myself that the new age ambient influence has been done in trance many a time, so why not in metal? The lyrical subject matter directly contrasts "The Wall" with a more uplifting message. It's about finding peace in the moment that you are in, a sort of mindfulness exercise in meditation involving yourself, your partner, and/or a higher power if you believe in one. The narrative stories of our songs are not typically open-ended, but in here, go figure.
